Sharon Lawrence

Join us Thursday, October 7 for a unique virtual theater experience! Award-winning actor Sharon Lawrence presents a reading of Robin Gerber’s new play, The Shot, about iconic Washington Post publisher Katharine Graham directed by Michelle Joyner.

For more than 20 years, Katharine Graham was a self-described "doormat wife," secretly enduring years of domestic abuse from her husband. After his suicide, she took over as publisher and CEO of the Washington Post where she defied the government by publishing the Pentagon Papers, took on Nixon in Watergate, and stunned her male executives who had bet against her success.

Join us for a digital screening of this riveting piece followed by a panel discussion with actor Sharon Lawrence, director Michelle Joyner, producer Laurie Bernhard, and FSC executive director, Tay Knight.

A link of this play will be available for ticket purchasers to view from October 7 - 21, 2021.
